The Coolest & Most Pervasive Gucci Collection Ever // Gucci Ready-To-Wear Spring 2016

I first saw Gucci’s Ready-To-Wear Spring 2016 collection on the March Vogue cover (so, released at the start of February) and the blog that I saw it on remarked that it was perfect for magazines – looks great in photographs, extremely arty and striking, but overall, not very practical. It’s definitely eye-catching – no issue with that point with that at all. I instantly loved the colours and mixes of fabrics. The finished product is beautifully modern, but also almost reminds of a princess’s dress. However I disagree from a practicality point of view, in that I think there’s no reason why it CAN’T be practical. Rita Ora @ The Billboard Music Awards // Fausto Puglisi Fall 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection

Rita Ora’s dress got mostly neutral-to-negative feedback and I can kind of see where people are coming from. It’s not exactly groundbreaking, and the gaps in the fabric do seem a bit arbitrary and unplanned. That said, there’s nothing really THAT wrong with it? Sure it’s not the most creative thing you’ve ever seen, but it’s not burning anyones eyes out. It’s safe and boring, … Continue reading Rita Ora @ The Billboard Music Awards // Fausto Puglisi Fall 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection

Rita Ora Can Rock A Wetsuit // Tommy Hilfiger Summer Spring Collection 2014

Recently, Rita Ora was seen stepping out in this Tommy Hilfiger ensemble. It was worn exactly the same as it was seen on the runway except for the shoes. Personally, I love it. I know heaps of people have described the opening to the pants as “wetsuit-esque” and I 100% agree, but I still love it. In fact I agree with most comments I’ve read … Continue reading Rita Ora Can Rock A Wetsuit // Tommy Hilfiger Summer Spring Collection 2014

Sretsis 2015-2016 Autumn & Winter Collection // Japan Fashion Week

Foreign fashion weeks really are one of the most things to read about, especially when they’re a culture quite different from your own. As much as London and New York fashion weeks are where the action is at, England and America are pretty much Australia’s siblings when it comes to style, and we have the same sort of ideas of what we expect to see … Continue reading Sretsis 2015-2016 Autumn & Winter Collection // Japan Fashion Week

Runway 6: Cosmopolitan Show ONLOOKER REPORT // Melbourne Fashion Festival

Last night I attended my first runway show! The Melbourne Fashion Festival is on at the moment, and I’m always feverishly excited when it comes around. I spend hours looking at the footage on their website (www.vamff.com, if anyone wants to suss.) I never thought actually going to a runway show was possible, until a girl I know posted a photo of herself at one. … Continue reading Runway 6: Cosmopolitan Show ONLOOKER REPORT // Melbourne Fashion Festival

Zoolander 2: Life After Being Ridiculously Good Looking // Valentino Runway Show

PS. I don’t know if that’s the title, I totally made that up, I mean as if Derek Zoolander will ever be anything except ridiculously good-looking?!? I am so hilariously glad that Valentino clearly has an awesome sense of humour and let Zoolander crash his fashion show. The fact that both parties took it absolutely seriously made this so much better – they didn’t break … Continue reading Zoolander 2: Life After Being Ridiculously Good Looking // Valentino Runway Show
